Zoe-perry
Perry was born in Chicago to the actors Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. One of her first TV appearances were as Jackie Harris on ABC's sitcom Roseanne. Her mother portrayed the character. Her parents did not allow her to start acting with her parents till she reached an adulthood stage, because they were concerned about the anxiety it could create. Perry was shy in high-school and did not act. Her first acting experience was in the year 2000 at Northwestern University to gain friends after she was transferred from Boston University. Perry left for New York, where she landed small roles in series like Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Home sickiness caused Perry home to California which was where theatre jobs were available. Perry was a part of Broadway with her mother in The Other Place with her mother in the year 2013. Her father Kevin McKidd performed in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prizewinning drama Anna Christie with her in 2015. Perry was in nine episodes of the ABC drama The Family in 2016. Perry played a prominent role in the ABC drama about politics Scandal which starred her father. She also played in the role of a young Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon - which is a CBS spin-off from The Big Bang Theory. The character was picked by auditions, even the fact that she had a deep connection with it.
