Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw aka Elizabeth Alice MacGraw was an American actress, activist for animals and author who won several prizes. The actress has won praise for her roles in films such as Love Story (from 1970), Goodbye Columbus, (1969), and The Getaway, (1972). Growing up in a family of artists located in New York she wished to work in the field of art. While working as a photographer's assistant, she turned her attention towards modeling and acting. Her first two movies were noticed, and she was awarded the Golden Globe Award of Most Newcomer of the Year. MacGraw became a household name in the year 1970 following her hit movie Love Story. She was considered for nomination to an Academy Award and won a Golden Globe. After just three short films MacGraw was named as the top female performer in box office history. At Grauman's Chinese Theater, in 1972, she had her name and footprints hand-engraved. Some of the films she's been in include The Getaway Convoy Players as and the television miniseries The Winds of War. The autobiography of MacGraw Moving Pictures was published in 1991. MacGraw was married three times.
